To the Editor:
I am writing to support my dear friend Kelly Flood, who is running for the 75th House District this fall.
I have known Kelly and her family for 10 years and believe she is the best candidate to replace Kathy Stein, who is running for State senate.
Kelly is not only smart and progressive, she is also very grounded in her faith, her community and her family.
A natural leader, Kelly served as Senior Minister at the Unitarian Universalist Church, working to promote fairness and eradicate racism in our community and our world.
For many years, our families have walked together in the Martin Luther King March in January.
My husband, children and I have been the beneficiaries of her warmth and hospitality (and her cooking!).
Our families have enjoyed celebrating Hannukah and Christmas together for years, and we often share informal dinners and outings as family friends.
Kelly’s wisdom and humor have been a gift to my life.
I believe these traits, along with her strong work ethic, will serve her well as she serves the 75th District.
Please join me on Nov. 4, in voting for the Next Progressive Voice, Kelly Flood.
