Beat the Summer Heat At Monkey Joe’s
When the weather heats up this summer, families can head indoors and stay active at Monkey Joe’s, an inflatable playground at 1850 Bryant Road in southeast Lexington.
Of course, kids will love Monkey Joe’s. What child wouldn’t love a giant playland with birthday party rooms, 18-foot high slides, redemption games, a cotton candy machine, and Monkey Joe himself, who strolls through the 16,000 square foot fun zone passing out hugs?
To add to the fun, Monkey Jane, a fellow monkey friend from CoCo Nutty Island, has made her big debut.
“There’s just something about a big purple monkey, and now a big pink monkey, that makes people smile,” owner Kelly Van Metre says.
Monkey Joe’s has an obstacle course suitable for kids 12 and younger, and the Mini Monkey Zone is a toddler play area to keep little ones safe and secure.
Maintaining a safe and healthy environment is a top priority. In order to eliminate up to 99.9% of most common germs, Monkey Joe’s sanitizes all inflatable surfaces with Swisher Hygiene.
Monkey Joe’s staff includes referees dressed in striped shirts wearing whistles to ensure kids are safe while they play.
When you enter Monkey Joe’s at the Chimp Check, parents and kids are issued bracelets with matching numbers. No adult is allowed in without a child, and no child can leave without passing through Chimp Check.
While the kids monkey around in the playland, adults can sit back and relax in the adult area, which features comfortable seating, free high-speed wireless Internet, flat-screen televisions and computer stations.
Walk-ins are welcome during Monkey Joe’s hours: Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
