DIY Bath Tub Paints
Most toddlers love getting messy and love bath time. So why not combine the two into one activity? We tested a homemade bath tub paint recipe from Pinterest. It could not have been more simple or more enjoyable for my 2-year-old.
Step One: You will need baby shampoo, corn starch and food coloring.
Step Two: Mix 1/2 cup of baby shampoo with one TBSP cornstarch. You can add more corn starch if you prefer a thicker consistency.
Step Three: Once the “paint” is mixed, separate into containers (like an ice cube tray) and add food coloring.
Step Four: Once your colors are mixed, you are done and it’s time for the kids to take over.
My daughter actually loved finger painting in the tub so much that when I told her we were all out of the paint, this is what happened:
The clean up was incredibly simple. Turn on your shower head and rinse it off, or if you can’t reach a spot a paper towel will take it off easily.
We give this project an A+. It was inexpensive, simple to prepare, very little clean up and my toddler loved it.
