Mark Your Calendar: Camp Fair Is Saturday, April 12
Great summers don’t just happen, they take research and planning. And the best place to do that is at Lexington Family’s Summer Camps & Activities Fair on Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 W. Reynolds Road.
The Fair, which is FREE, will feature more than 90 booths representing camps, birthday party venues, schools, health care professionals, afterschool activities, vacation planning and more. And every booth will have a fun activity for kids.
Where else can your kids zoom down a giant inflatable slide, drive a robot, meet costumed characters, ride in a stick horse race, try on costumes, and learn to make a healthy snack all in one day?
While the kids are having a blast playing all the games and activities, trying out the hands-on crafts, getting their faces painted and competing in hula hoop contests, Mom and
Dad can chat with camp directors, enrichment teachers, health-care professionals, birthday party planners and education providers.
Make sure you stop by Karen Powell Photography’s booth where you can enter your child for free in our annual Cover Model Contest. We will choose winners who will appear on future covers of Lexington Family Magazine.
The Camp Fair also features performances by some of the most talented kids in town – gymnasts, tumblers, dancers, martial artists and more.
You won’t leave the Fair empty handed. In addition to all the information you’ll take away about the camps and other family-friendly businesses, you will also have the chance to win dozens of prizes, including Isabelle, the latest American Girl doll, an iPad, free weeks of camp, model horses from Breyer, books, games, CDs and DVDs plus more giveaways at the booths.
