Summer Camp Fair Is fun Fun Fun! And It’s Free Free Free!
It’s been a long, cold winter but summer is really just around the corner. Time to start making plans for all of your family’s summer fun.
And the best place to do that is at Lexington Family Magazine’s Summer Camps & Activities Fair!
Now in its 12th year, the Camp Fair is Central Kentucky’s one-stop shop for summer camps, enrichment activities and family fun.
Mark your calendar now for this free event, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 West Reynolds Road.
What will you find at the Fair?
- Everything you need for a summer full of fun!
Visit more than 90 booths representing the whole spectrum of summer camps and activities in the Bluegrass and beyond:
Dance and gymnastics camps, sports and horse camps, day and residential camps, academic and art camps, robotics and martial arts camps, tutoring services and enrichment classes, plus schools, birthday party providers, vacation destinations, health care professionals and family service agencies.
And you can sign up your kids on the spot.
- Cover Model Contest.
We are always looking for little cuties to smile on the covers of Lexington Family Magazine, and it might just be your kids we are looking for.
Karen Powell Photography will take free photos of children all day at the Fair and automatically enter them in the contest.
Winners will appear on covers throughout the next year.
- Children’s performance groups.
See some of the most talented kids in the Bluegrass perform live. Every 30 minutes you’ll see gymnasts, dancers, models, martial artists and more.
- Have a blast!
While mom and dad are talking to camp directors, kids can enjoy free activities at the booths, including inflatable bouncers, arts and crafts, face-painting, balloon animals, costumed characters, caricatures and games.
- Win a prize!
Everyone will leave with their hands full of information on camps and other programs, but some folks will take home prizes, too.
The first 100 families to enter the Fair at 10 a.m. will be entered to win one of two Wilderness at the Smokies Vacation Getaways and five Family four-Packs to Malibu Jack’s
Family Fun Center. Plus, throughout the day we’ll be giving away an American Girl doll, Breyer Model Horses, games, books, DVDs, free camp weeks, and much more.
