FCPS To Add 30 Minutes to School Day To Make Up for Snow Days
Now that spring is here, Fayette County Public Schools system has announced plans to make up the instructional time lost during the snow days of February and March – 7 full days and 6 hours.
The plan includes school attendance on days that were previously earmarked as possible weather make up days: Friday, April 10, Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29.
Also, an additional 30 minutes will be added per day beginning Monday, April 20.
All schools in Fayette County will dismiss 30 minutes later than normal.
The last day of school will be Friday, May 29.
The high school graduation ceremonies schedule is as follows:
Friday, May 29, 4 p.m.: Lafayette; 7 p.m.: Tates Creek.
Saturday, May 30, 10 a.m.: Bryan Station High; 1 p.m.: Henry Clay High; 4 p.m.: Paul Laurence Dunbar High.
