High-Tech Version of ‘The Giver’ Hits LCT’s Main Stage
The Lexington Children’s Theatre has gone high-tech for its upcoming performance of “The Giver.”
Throughout this production a variety of technology is used. Every member of the community is given a device similar to an iPad, laptop or a smart phone.
Also, a large number of projections are used and allow the audience to experience all the new things that Jonas is experiencing.
Showtimes are Sunday, April 19, 2 p.m., Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m., Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m., at Lexington Children’s Theatre Main Stage, 418 W. Short St.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for children.
Earlier in April, LCT will follow the yellow brick road in the seventh annual Celebrity Curtain Call performance of “The Wizard of Oz.”
Local business leaders, civic advocates and celebrities will perform at this fundraising event.
Reception with food and a bourbon tasting begins at 7 p.m. Live and silent auction packages include a week’s accommodations in the Bahamas, park hopper passes to Disneyworld, a trip to New York City and more.
The performance begins at 8:30 p.m. at 418 W. Short St.
