Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Mother’s Day gifts don’t have to break the bank, or take hours of messy craft time. This year, Mother’s Day is on May 10 so you have a few weeks to prepare.
Whether you need a gift for your little one to make, or just an idea for the mom in your life, here are a few quick DIY projects she will appreciate:
Sugar Scrub: This homemade recipe contains items you probably already have in the kitchen. It’s easy for kids or adults to mix up, and shows mom that you acknowledge her need to relax and pamper herself.
The Mom Jar: Head to the dollar store and get a big glass jar or vase, and let your child pick out treats he thinks mom will enjoy. You can throw in her favorite candy, bubble bath, a gift card, nail polish- whatever makes it personal!
Dry Erase Board: For the organized mom in your life, this dry erase board is cute and can be made with just an inexpensive picture frame, pretty paper and a dry erase marker. She can use it for shopping lists or daily reminders, or you can fill it with sweet notes to brighten up her days.
A Jar of Love: If your child is old enough to write, have them write out reasons why they love mom. For younger children, have them tell you why and write for them, or simply write them as a spouse and show your appreciation for her role as the mom.
Salt Dough Footprints: Preserving a baby’s footprints is simply done with salt dough. Older children can help mix the dough, younger children can paint the finished product, or if you have a baby they simply provide the footprints!
These are just a few ideas to treat mom on her special day. Check out our Pinterest Board for even more Mother’s Day gifts!
