Julius Randle to Host Camp at KBA

Former UK star Julius Randle is hosting a basketball camp Monday through Wednesday at Kentucky Basketball Academy for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The camp runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day with Randle expected to teach, sign autographs and referee select games.

According to Randle’s web site, the camps will emphasize basketball fundamentals, character development and team play with a 10:1 instructor to camper ratio. Lunch and a camp t-shirt will be provided.

Randle led the Wildcats to the Final Four in 2014 and was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. A broken leg cost him all of his rookie season.

The cost of the camp is $249 and numerous spots in the camp are available.
