A&W Restaurants to Give Away Root Beer Floats Aug. 6

A&WA&W Restaurants has opened a new location in Lexington — 652 E. Main St. – and will give away free root beer floats on Thursday Aug. 6 at all four Lexington locations as part of a grand opening week.

Other events during the week are as follows:

  • August 3-6 (Monday-Thursday), 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Main Street location. A&W is donating 50% of all sales to Wounded Warrior Project.
  • August 6 (Thursday), 2 p.m.-close: National Root Beer Float Day. All four locations will give away a FREE small Root Beer Float to any guest who asks.
  • August 7-9 (Friday- Sunday), 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Main Street location. A&W is donating 50% of all sales to the Lexington Humane Society.
  • August 8 (Saturday), 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Main Street location. Grand Opening Celebration featuring fun for the entire family, including face painting, Rooty the Great Root Bear and music. Spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win FREE Root Beer Floats for an entire year. rootbeerfloatday.com
