Celebrating New and Expecting Moms
This year marks the first Mother’s Day Brunch in downtown Lexington on Saturday, May 7, hosted by Baby Dreams Maternity Concierge.
Chante Perryman, owner of Baby Dreams, said she was inspired to organize the event after the birth of her second child last year. She was trying to take it easy but her family wanted to celebrate with her.
She decided to create something where moms could feel honored as a community.
“I realized it would be nice for new and expecting parents to be able to celebrate their new addition with other couples in the same boat,” she said. “A great time to converse over a meal and hear valuable tidbits of information from speakers and be able to win giveaways too.”
The brunch is geared toward new and expecting parents but anyone is welcome to attend. Perryman said parents can expect a delicious meal, guests speakers with words of encouragement and helpful advice, and prizes.
“It is important for me to do this because I believe new parents should be celebrated,” she said. “Sometimes in the moment of having a baby the parents can be forgotten or feel left out. The new excitement is the baby but parents should feel loved and appreciated as well.”
The Mother’s Day Brunch will begin at noon at the Bell House Downtown, 575 Sayre Avenue. Tickets can be purchased online here or via Paypal. For more info contact baby.dreamsmc@gmail.com.
