Ashland Terrace’s Public Cutting Garden Now Open
Ashland Terrace’s annual public cutting garden is now open for the summer and fall at the retirement community in Chevy Chase.
Small blooms and herbs are 25 cents per small bunch, while large blooms are 50 cents. All proceeds are used to maintain the garden and to feed critters.
The donation box and scissors and located at the start of the main garden walkway.
The garden consists of blooms such as black-eyed susans, lavender, lilies and zinnias. Herbs in raised beds include basil, dill, fennel, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.
The roses and vegetables are reserved for residents only.
