   Dr. Elizabeth Elkinson takes time to get to know each of her patients and appreciates the importance of building a long-term relationship with every woman she treats. She works to create an environment where every patient will feel comfortable and well cared for.

A mother of two with a full time medical practice, Dr. Elkinson understands a woman’s time is valuable and she is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a timely manner. Her commitment to patient care and passion about her work make her stand apart.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, and medical degree from the University of Kentucky, Dr. Elkinson completed her obstetrics & gynecology residency at Harbor UCLA in southern California, where she was awarded for clinical excellence. She is board certified and a member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the University of Kentucky Medical Alumni Association.

Kendra Adkisson, APRN, OB-GYN

    Kendra Adkisson, APRN, is certified nurse midwife committed to providing women the highest quality of prenatal and gynecological services and

education. She believes in the Midwives Model of Care, which emphasizes approaching health care holistically.

Based at KentuckyOne Health Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, Adkisson provides a comfortable atmosphere for women and empowers them to take charge of their health. In 2016, she was honored by the American College of Nurse Midwives for her daily efforts as a nurse midwife. She has helped teach EMTs in rural areas emergency birth procedures, and organized a “Born Too Early” documentary screening and expert panel discussion for the Lexington community.

Adkisson received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, her master’s degree at Frontier Nursing University and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program through Yale University. She has been in practice for 15 years.
