Celebrity Curtain Call Is 1 of 3 Shows in April
Lexington Children’s Theatre will present three different shows in April, including the 10th annual Celebrity Curtain Call event. The Celebrity Curtain Call features a cast of local celebrities who this year will perform “The Little Mermaid.” Tickets to this fund-raising event include unlimited food as well as two drink tickets and two bourbon tasting tickets. A live and silent auction prizes include trips to New York, the Bahamas and more. The event is Saturday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. at LCT’s Main Stage. Tickets are $85 individually or $510 per table.
The next day, LCT will stage Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach Jr.” James Henry Trotter was a sad, lonely boy until one day, a stranger appeared, brewed a potion and a giant peach started growing in his backyard. Performances at the LCT Main Stage are Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, April 21 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $19 for adults and $16 for children.
On the last weekend of April, LCT will stage “Why Mosquitoes Buzz,” a colorful, puppet-filled show based on an African folktale that explains how mosquitoes have become so annoying.
Performances at the LCT Main Stage are Saturday, April 28 at 2 and 7 p.m.; Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m.; and a sensory friendly performance, sponsored by the Brown family in honor of Kelsey Rose Brown, on Sunday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $19 for adults and $16 for children.
