R.J. Smith & Cole Ralenkotter Split $2,500 Scholarship
Members of the 2017-2018 group of Scholar Athletes were honored May 17 at Kentucky Utilities at the annual Scholar Athlete celebration sponsored by Lexington Family Magazine and KU.
In addition, R.J. Smith and Cole Ralenkotter – names drawn at random at the event – split the Darrell B. Pulliam Memorial Scholarship of $2,500 that was presented by Mike Pulliam.
The scholarship is named in honor of Pulliam’s late father.
Pulliam, a Rector Hayden real estate agent and a golf instructor at Man o’ War Golf, contributed to the scholarship fund along with Howard Smith of Smith Garage Equipment, Barry and Mike Barrett of Auto Excel, local accountant Kenny Frank and Dairy Queen franchise owner Paul Wright.
