MLK Day Parade & Activities
School is out on Monday, Jan. 21 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and downtown Lexington has events to celebrate his life and legacy.
The annual Freedom March will begin at 10 a.m. Participants should line up beginning at 9 a.m. inside the corridor of Heritage Hall in the Lexington Center. The march will continue down Main Street.
Following the Freedom March is a commemorative program in Heritage Hall at 11 a.m. After the program the Kentucky Theater will have a free showing of the film “Hidden Figures.”
