CBD Store Dwell Will Serve the Community
CBD oil has become a trendy wellness product since the legalization of industrial hemp in Kentucky, but one local store is focused on more than just profiting off its popularity.
Dwell CBD, located in Brannon Crossing, was founded by David Kwun, and Louis and Kara Police. The team met when their children attended school together, and a casual conversation sparked an interest in CBD oil.
The oil, derived from the hemp plant, has been credited with easing the symptoms of anxiety, sleep disorders, inflammation, attention issues and more. For two years, the trio immersed themselves in the science behind CBD.
“We wanted to be a benchmark for the industry,” Louis Police said. “Not only do we want to help people and provide wellness alternatives, we’re passionate about sharing the science around this amazing product and becoming a trusted resource for the community.”
The storefront is stocked with CBD-infused gummies, topical creams and CBD oils in more than a dozen flavors such as Key Lime, Orange Sunshine and Vanilla Almond. There are also flavored CBD products for pets.
The spa-like interior of the store features an informational video, diagrams that explain how CBD affects the brain and body, and the owners are on hand to answer questions.
“We will sit down and talk to clients to find what they need,” Police said. “It’s a pleasure to sit down with people and become a part of their story.”
One of the tenets of their business plan was serving the community. All first responders, physicians and military receive 50% off products every day of the year.
Dwell CBD has received commendations from the offices of Sen. Mitch McConnell; Rep. Andy Barr; Gov. Matt Bevin; Nicholasville Mayor Pete Sutherland and Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles for supporting Kentucky commerce and the local community.
“Everything we do is Kentucky Proud,” Police said. “From the plants and formulations, to the bottling, packaging and marketing materials, all of it is sourced in Kentucky.”
The owners of Dwell see a myriad of ailments in their clients. But after the first visit, they typically see one thing: relief.
Said Kwun: “I had no idea how gratifying it would be to have people come back into the store with their children and hug us because of the relief they found from our products.”
