Lexington Children’s Theatre Presents: la ofrenda

The Lexington Children’s Theatre presents “la ofrenda,” a play dealing with the Día de los Muertos Mexican holiday.

History is something Alex doesn’t get. Not even his abuela, a strong-willed Chicana named Marta Torres, can help him understand the beauty and magic of Día de los Muertos. But with a little thunder and a lot of magic, a fast-talking skeleton might give Alex the courage and compassion he needs to connect.

Showtimes are Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 children. The Saturday, Sept. 28 show is Pay-What-You-Can.

The show is recommended for ages 9 & up.
