This was a year to remember for Lexington Family’s annual Writing Contest. It was our 10th year and our biggest response ever with 1,499 children in grades K-5 entering their stories.
Every year, thousands of children head off to camp where they develop positive relationships that help them develop socially and emotionally.
Summer camps (and spring break camps, too) come in all shapes, sizes and flavors. Day camps and overnight camps, half-day and full-day, overnight or not, parents have options to fit any schedule.
What if you opened up your favorite book and suddenly found yourself transported into the story itself?
Not only can you and your family enjoy a day’s worth of hands-on activities at Lexington Family Magazine’s 11th annual Summer Camps & Activities Fair, but early visitors are eligible for a major prize.
Do you have a favorite book? Have you ever wished you could just step right into the pages?
Would you visit Middle Earth, go to class with Junie B. Jones, or solve mysteries with Encyclopedia Brown?
Something about these cold, snowy February days always makes me yearn for summer.
Maybe that’s because February is when Lexington Family gets busy thinking about summer. And not just summer but SUMMER CAMP!
Eight years ago when Lexington Family held its first writing contest, 125 young authors wrote to tell us about a dream they had for their lives.
What did you do on Saturday, April 14, 2012? Can you remember? If you were one of the more than 3,200 folks who joined Lexington Family at our 10th annual Summer Camps and Activities Fair, I’m sure you haven’t forgotten.
